#8 North British 34 Year Old 1978 - Dimensions - Duncan Taylor
Bottling note:
This is a single cask of the North British grain whisky bottled by the independent bottler Duncan Taylor. Grain whiskies are made using un-malted grain which results in a sweeter flavour to malt whisky.
Taste note:
A Bourbon like character of caramel and vanilla with a little spice on the nose leads to a sweet and syrupy flavour with notes of maple syrup and white pepper. The finish is long with notes of toffee and nutmeg and a little black pepper.
#9 Strathclyde 36 Year Old 1977 (cask 9912) - The Sovereign (Hunter Laing)

A single cask Strathclyde single grain Scotch whisky for Hunter Laing's Sovereign series. To sustain the sibilance, we'd say it's a super whisky for sipping, distilled in '77.
